Our Mission at SMA…To provide students of all ages with the skills they need, to enjoy music for a lifetime! At Scranton Music Academy, we teach music lessons in piano, voice, guitar, brass, woodwinds, strings, drums and percussion in our two schools serving Scranton, Pennsylvania, Clarks Summit, Eynon, Archbald, Peckville, Dickson City, Carbondale and the upper valley! We are not a music store. All we do is teach!Scranton Music Academy isthe area’s only private music school dedicated just to teaching music! In order to provide the best possible music education to our students, all of our teachers are university trained and professional, performing musicians. Before anyone teaches at SMA, they must pass a criminal background check. We offer a wide variety of lesson timesto fit your busy schedule. To request a lesson time, click here. We instruct students of all ages, from children to adults,and all levels from beginners to intermediate and advanced. We offer private lessons whichensure that the students have the undivided attention of their teachers. This way, they can progress at a level suited to their individual needs. We also offer beginner group classes for guitar and voice. We have optional, fun, low-pressure recitalstwice a year!SMA is conveniently located on Keyser Avenue in Scranton, minutes from Clarks Summit, one mile from the Keyser Oak Shopping Center. This location primarily serves the Scranton area including Clarks Summit, Dalton, Waverly, Taylor, Old Forge, Moosic, Glen Maura, Moscow, Dunmore and all surrounding areas.
