Performing internationally and teaching in Hampton Roads, Virginia for over 30 years, Michael Behlmar is a graduate of the Percussion Institute of Technology in Hollywood, CA, and continues to study with internationally known drum educator Dom Famularo in Long Island, New York. Michael has been a Drum Teacher for public schools for over 30 years, including five years as Indoor Drum Line Director. The percussion studio is one of the best-equipped in Hampton Roads, including Finale’s SmartMusic for an interactive learning experience between instructor and student. Everything a student needs for an educational and enjoyable environment is available in the extensive music library for checkout. As a music teacher, Michael was awarded the Presidential Citation from the Governor’s School for Visual & Performing Arts at the University of Richmond.
