The Omaha Conservatory of Music, is a non-profit community music school serving the Omaha, Council Bluffs, Millard, Fremont, and Lincoln metro areas. We offer private and group lessons in violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, guitar, flute, trumpet, trombone, voice, conducting, and music composition. In addition to regular instruction with OCM’s distinguished artist faculty, we offer a unique opportunity to our students by bringing in world renowned guest artists, teachers, and clinicians for masterclasses and work shops. Generally, the cost for these workshops and masterclasses is included in the students’ tuition. Past guest artists have included Mark Wood, Dylana Jensen, Randy Sabien, Csaba Erdelyi, Krassimira Jordan, Brittani Sklar, and the Chiara String Quartet, among many others. We also collaborate with the Omaha Symphony Orchestra on a regular basis which offers students and families discounted tickets, and special opportunities to meet and greet guest artists, and observe symphony rehearsals. Currently we have over 350 students enrolled in our program.
